Every Little Step Counts
Have you ever tried something new?
Maybe you put on your shoes.
Maybe you washed your hands.
Maybe you built a tower.
Maybe you drew a happy sun.
Some things are easy.
Some things are hard.
That is okay.
Everyone learns one little step at a time.
Can you say,
"I can try!"
Say it again.
"I can try!"
Every little try is something to be proud of.
Ben Wanted to Button His Coat
It was a cool morning.
Ben picked up his coat.
He wanted to button it all by himself.
The first button would not go through.
Ben tried again.
It still would not work.
Ben looked down.
"Oh," he sighed.
Grandma smiled.
"You are learning."
Ben took a deep breath.
"I will try again."
One More Try
Ben held the button with both hands.
Slowly...
Push.
Pull.
Pop!
The button slipped into the hole.
"It worked!"
Ben jumped.
Grandma clapped.
Ben laughed.
"I did it!"
Trying again helped Ben learn.
Trying again made Ben feel proud.
You Can Try Too
Maybe your puzzle has one piece left.
Try again.
Maybe your zipper feels tricky.
Try again.
Maybe your picture looks different than you imagined.
Keep drawing.
Maybe your blocks fall down.
Build again.
Every little try helps you learn.
Every little try helps you grow.
Every little try helps your confidence grow.
Can you say,
"I can keep trying!"
Wonderful!
Guess What?
Do you know a secret?
Every grown up was once a little child.
They learned to walk.
They learned to talk.
They learned to sing.
They learned by trying again.
You are learning too.
Every day you know a little more.
Every day you can do a little more.
That is how confidence grows.
Little by little.
Step by step.
Smile by smile.
Look What You Can Do!
Take a look around.
Can you wave?
Can you clap?
Can you hop?
Can you give someone a hug?
You learned all of those things.
Now you can learn something new.
One little step.
One little try.
One happy smile.
That is how amazing things begin.
⭐ Confidence Challenge
Today, choose one new thing to try.
You could:
- Put on your shoes.
- Help put toys away.
- Wash your hands by yourself.
- Zip your jacket.
- Draw your favorite animal.
When you finish, smile and say,
"I tried my best!"
That is something to celebrate.
💬 Let's Talk Together
Ask a parent, grandparent, or teacher these questions.
- What new thing did you try today?
- How did you feel after you kept trying?
- What would you like to learn next?
Remember...
You do not have to be perfect.
You only have to be brave enough to take one little step.
Every little step helps you grow.
Every little smile helps your confidence shine.
And every day is another wonderful day to say,
"I can do it!"
Great Job!
You reached the end of today's learning adventure!
