🐾 Hello again, my friends!

I missed you!

Did you miss me too?

Thank you for coming back to hear another one of my stories.

Do you remember the warm hands that found me at the park?

His name is Daddy.

Daddy is my favorite person.

(Shhh... don't tell Mommy. 😸)

After my bath, Daddy always checks my tiny little claws.

Snip...

Snip...

Snip...

Sometimes...

Oops!

He cuts a little too much.

"Meowww!"

I tell him I don't like that very much.

Then Daddy gives my paw a little kiss and says,

"I'm sorry, Chiki."

And you know what?

I forgive him every single time.

After we're all done, Daddy goes to work.

Guess where I work?

In Daddy's chair!

It's the best chair in the whole house.

Sometimes I sleep on Daddy's lap.

But my very favorite place is under his keyboard.

Daddy puts his keyboard on his lap...

Then I wiggle...

Squeeze...

Squish...

Right underneath it!

It's like my own little secret cave.

It's warm.

It's cozy.

And the clickety-clack...

tap...

tap...

tap...

...of Daddy's keyboard makes me sooooo sleepy.

Before I know it...

Zzzzz...

I'm fast asleep.

But there's one thing I don't like very much.

Shoes.

Not because shoes are scary.

But because when Daddy puts them on...

He goes outside.

Every time I see Daddy putting on his shoes, I think,

"Oh... Daddy is leaving."

Today he went to a place called the grocery store.

I don't really know what a grocery store is.

I only know that Daddy isn't home when he goes there.

Daddy smiled...

Waved goodbye...

And walked out the front door.

So I sat by the door.

And I waited.

I waited...

and waited...

and waited some more.

Sometimes I got sleepy and took a little nap.

When I woke up...

I was still waiting by the door.

Mommy smiled and gently said,

"Come here, Chiki. Daddy will be back soon."

So I waited a little longer.

Then...

Click!

The door opened!

Daddy was home!

He picked me up...

Gave me a big cuddle...

And asked,

"Hello, Chiki! Were you waiting for Daddy again?"

Maybe I was.

Just a little.

Okay...

Maybe a lot! 😸

I love my Daddy.

I wonder...

Do you have someone you get excited to see when they come home?
